A Stormy Sail

Several summers ago I was plein air painting at the beautiful Big Bear Dune Park in Leeland Michigan.  After walking around the dunes trying to fine the perfect spot to set up my easel, I was satisfied with my view.  As I was setting up my easel and uncovering my pastel box , I felt a raindrop.  I barely had time to snap a photo and haul all of my supplies into the trunk of my car before the sky opened up.    I was luckier than my fellow artist next to me.  All I heard was a scream.
